Columbia State hits record-breaking enrollment
(COLUMBIA, Tenn. - Oct. 18, 2017) - - - Preliminary census reports a 4.9 increase in enrollment for Columbia State Community College for Fall 2017, setting a new record-breaking enrollment number for the college.
Full-time enrollment is up by 15.1 percent from Fall 2016, and is up over 24 percent over the past three years. Full-Time Equivalency is the formula that determines how many students are attending full-time. Columbia State exceeded target enrollment by over 9 percent.
Other notable enrollment increases include: adult students admitted - 14.7 percent; first-time freshmen admitted - 16.8 percent and re-admitted students - 7.4 percent.
Each of Columbia State's five campus locations saw an increase in headcount: Columbia Campus - 8.2 percent, Williamson Campus - 14.9 percent, Lawrence Campus - 10.8 percent, Lewisburg Campus - 10.2 percent and Clifton Campus - 2.6 percent.
Columbia State enrolled 5,938 students comprised of 3,279 full-time students and over 1,600 freshmen. Final enrollment numbers are to be determined by the Tennessee Board of Regents.
