Columbia State Announces Spring 2017 President’s and Dean’s Lists
(COLUMBIA, Tenn. - June 6, 2016) - - - Eighty-two students were named to Columbia State Community College's president's list, and nearly 430 students were named to the dean's list for earning academic honors this spring.
"These students have excelled academically," said Dr. Janet F. Smith, Columbia State president. "Students named to the president's list maintain an outstanding level of academic performance while managing full-time course loads, often juggling multiple responsibilities including jobs, families and extra-curricular activities. They are to be commended for their hard work and dedication."
To qualify for the president's list, students must earn 15 credit hours for the semester with a grade point average of 3.90 - 4.00.
"Being named to the dean's list is a notable achievement," said Dr. Margaret D. Smith, executive vice president and provost for academic and student programs and services. "We encourage and promote student success at Columbia State, and these students are a great example of what it means to be successful."
To qualify for the dean's list, students must earn 12 or more credit hours for the semester with a GPA of 3.50 or higher.
