Columbia State Announces 5K Winners

(COLUMBIA, Tenn. -March 20, 2015) - - - Columbia State Community College's Respiratory Care Club recently hosted its 7th Annual 5k Run/Walk. Approximately 75 runners participated in the 5K and kids' one-mile fun run, and five dogs took part in the pet walk.
"Students from the Respiratory Care club spent several months pulling together resources and support for the run," said R. David Johnson, program director and associate professor of respiratory care. "The team work they exhibited was impressive. Club president, Angela Hargrove did an excellent job coordinating and directing the event."
The club raises money to attend the Respiratory Care state convention and for credentialing expenses. A portion of the money raised will also go towards Maury County Parks and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The winners' categories and times are as follows:
Kids' One-mile Fun Run: First place-Elijah Hargrove-11:01; second place-Isabella Hargrove-13:10; and third place-Isaac Hargrove-13:44.
Pet Walk (owners): First place-Gayle Moore-9:11; second place-Chase Hamby-9:41; and third place-Abby Lukonen-16:59.
5K Results
Under 18: First place-Andrew McCord-14:37; second place-Luke Rubelsky-24:47; and third place-Dawson Hargrove-25:58.
18-30 year olds: First place-Doug Lukonen-30:39; second place-Chasyn Czajka-33:16 and third place-Austin Locke-33:50.
31-40 year olds: First place-Holly Duncan-28:15; second place-Bethany Smith-28:50; and third place-Jon Brady-34:47.
41-50 year old: First place-Matt Rubelsky-24:03; second place-Eric Borchert-24:29; and third place-Todd Dalton-24:49.
51-60 year olds: First place-Gale Moore-25:08; second place-Alvin Doggett-27:42; and third place-Hon Lo-29:27.
