Columbia State to Break Ground on New Williamson Campus
(COLUMBIA, Tenn. - July 8, 2014) - - - On July 18, state and local officials, community members and Columbia State faculty and staff will gather to celebrate and break ground on Phase I of the new Columbia State Community College Williamson campus. This event will begin at 10 a.m., and the community is invited to attend.
General event parking will be at Centennial High School in the north side parking lot, near the baseball field, located at 5050 Mallory Lane in Franklin. Shuttle service to the new Williamson campus property will be available from 9 a.m. until 9:50 a.m.
Accessible parking will be available on-site at 1228 Liberty Pike in Franklin for persons with disabilities.
The event will be held rain or shine. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes.
Phase I will accommodate approximately 2,200 students, and construction will include an arts and humanities building; a science, technology, engineering and mathematics building; and an administration and student services building. The new campus is projected to open mid-spring 2016.
