The exhibit features a selection of works from the York and Friends Fine Art Gallery in Nashville, which offers a variety of artistic styles and mediums from more than 40 local and regional artists, including Jennifer Padgett, Lassie McDonald Crowder, Vicki Sawyer, Marilyn Wendling, Jade Reynolds, Vicki Shipley, Michael Bush, Gay Petach, David Nichols.

"I'm excited to have such talented artists showcased in the gallery," said Rusty Summerville, curator of the Pryor Art Gallery. "The featured works are eclectic, classical and contemporary and are sure to please the visual palette with a selection of paintings, glass, pottery and jewelry."

In 1990, Ron York opened his first gallery in Nashville. An interior designer and retail merchant, York opened the gallery as a source for his design clients, thus becoming a self-taught artist. In 2011, York opened the York and Friends Fine Art Gallery in the Belle Meade area of Nashville and has four additional galleries between Nashville and Memphis. His personal works are found in private collections locally and abroad, as well as in public venues such as the Nashville City Club, Belmont University and Tom Collins Music.

Immediately following the gallery reception, guests are invited to attend the Golden Dragon Acrobats performance, an international selection of the First Farmer's and Merchants Performance Series. Tickets will be available for purchase from the box office prior to the show, which begins promptly at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students.
