Mark Lewis and Lisa Bodine of ESPN had the following to say about her - "When Courtney Cayard is on the basketball court, you can expect to find her hanging around the 3-point line. But unlike other long-range shooting specialists who need time to set their feet or wait for a screen, the H.D. Woodson guard has quick feet, a quick release and a solid off-the-dribble game. She has the ability to move without the ball and lose defenders because of her speed. When receiving the ball, Cayard is always ready to shoot in triple-threat position. If played too closely, she has the ability to shoot or put it on the floor and create."
