Nursing Student and Phi Theta Kappa Member Becki Hendrix Earns Honor

The Williamson County Campus of Columbia State honored student Becki Hendrix with the Leadership Award.

"Hendrix has demonstrated her leadership abilities in many ways," said Ralph Walker, director of Columbia State's Williamson County Campus. "She has been an active member in Phi Theta Kappa, serving as secretary, and becoming a driving force in the Christmas 2006 project. That year she also helped to deliver presents to the Brentwood Baptist Children's home."

Hendrix participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in 2007, and is also a very active member of the Student Nursing Association. She also recently took a leadership role in her nursing class by planning the pinning ceremony for graduating nursing students.

Columbia State is a two-year college, serving a nine-county area in southern Middle Tennessee with locations in Columbia, Franklin, Lawrenceburg, Lewisburg and Clifton. The Williamson Campus has served Williamson County residents for more than 30 years, and currently serves more than 1,200 students in the various program areas of Nursing, EMT/Paramedic, Business Technology, Commercial Entertainment, and more.
